Service Description
The Use of step ladders course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake working at height operations in a school classroom environment. This ladders safety awareness online training course raises awareness of the dangers associated with working at height in low risk environments and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise and control the risks that ladders present. The course covers the main hazards, applicable legislation, risk assessment and risk reduction measures for individuals. This short course is designed for teachers, teaching assistants and office staff, to gain an understanding of working at height hazards and common causes of injury. It is designed for school staff enabling them to understand their legal responsibilities of complying with the work at height regulations and the best way carry out tasks such as putting up wall displays, reaching high shelving in cupboards and accessing suitable equipment to carry out their jobs safely. The online training platform can be accessed by all staff in a live training session with interactive Q&A's plus quizzes for staff to test their knowledge. All schools will be able to retain a copy of the training session which will be recorded and can be viewed by others in the school - used as part of your induction for new starters for example.
